There were two kids playing with their toys. One of them had a wooden tractor with its wheel broken. This kid was busy mowing his tractor. There was another kid, his neighbourhood friend, playing with him. He had a fancy Hot wheels with him that zoomed at full race. Both of them were lost in their own worlds, unbothered and very much unaware of the ways of the world.
An elder aunt who was crossing by stopped to see these kids. She could not help herself and said with a grinning smile, “Just look at your broken wooden tractor. It can barely move, forget ploughing a land”. She left after that. The scene stayed the same. Nothing much changed and yet a lot changed. Her remarks scarred the child. Up until then, the play value of the toy mattered- Now the monetary value mattered. The ways of the world slowly entered the mental processes of this child’s brain.
Let’s move to another anecdote-
Miss A lived in a certain locality in a city. The locality was decent enough. One of her relatives came to visit her. She casually remarked, “Your house is in such a shabby locality of the city”. Once again there was a wound, a psychological scar. Miss A now vowed to buy a home in a posh locality of the city. She worked hard, sacrificed her personal needs and finally made it to the posh locality. One day she was playing with her daughter in a nearby park. One of her neighbours came and stood besides her. “You don’t really belong here”, she said. “This locality is for the aristocrats. You just got rich”, she said. She left. A broken and beaten Miss A was taken back. She thought she had won the world. Yet she stood there feeling defeated and broken once again. She felt utterly dejected and lost. She wasted so many coming days sitting with these remarks. One fine day, she just concluded, “This country is not for me. Its a collective society and people are too interested in each other’s business here”. Let me shift to some other country which celebrates individuality. She again worked hard and left for greener pastures.
Very happy and content, she lived there for years. The society was individualistic and yes no one really interfered that much as was the case back home. The clock just waited, for yet another fine day. Yes, that fine day was not very far. After all we are all humans right. We all are only one moment away from the next error we make. So yes, it happened again- In her workspace. Yet another comment, yet another grin, yet another remark- Only difference was this time it was on her colour, the very skin she lived with her whole life. She felt small. She felt unseen. She felt shame. She felt like isolating herself.
Where was she supposed to hide her skin?
What will make the darkness go away?
What will cover her skin?
Yes there were options- A lot many. This time exertion set in and she didn’t exercise any option. She didn’t pick up any other fight. She just sat with all of it. Stripped of basic dignity, she sat with shame for months. Until she could sit no more. Until she decided, “Earth is not my home”.
What does this leave us with?
Yes it is absolutely true that Earth is a school and people are teachers.
Yes it is true that the only way we learn lessons is through wounding.
When will this end is a question that leaves me with a sense of astounding
Sometimes our shadows get triggered on many such casual remarks. What comes out of us is what was already inside, just waiting for a release. A part that protected us, an identity that we built to survive in this world. An identity that outran its purpose, that no longer served us. At times, we don’t sit with our shadows. We don’t allow the release. Rather we choose to focus on this casual remarks, which might not even be intentional at times. We then keep the shadows suppressed. Our egos then run a full-time job of protecting ourselves even more. We protect ourselves with anything and everything- money, fame, beauty and so on. The inner child within feels scared and we surround ourselves with things that will offer us a safe cocoon. We attach ourselves with labels that make us comfortable to survive in this world. Our parts keep protecting us and we remain fragmented. We give up on wholeness.
Our souls don’t. Our soul lessons don’t. Our soul contracts don’t
Our whole being cries for wholeness
Wholeness is what we seek
Wholeness is what fills
It is what heals
The journey back home when we operate less from ego and more from soul is a difficult one. It calls us to sit with emotions, not numb them, not suppress them, not brush them under carpet, but deal with them. Our shadows cry out for love. Our darkness calls for integration, calls to be brought out into light. Our parts get tired of protecting us all the time. Until one fine day again comes.
This time around you choose yourself
Not your parents, not your friends, not your partner, not your colleagues, no one but yourself. For my dear friend, Earth school is your journey and healing is but a homecoming- To come back and never leave, to commit to deep inner work and stay committed to light no matter what. To choose better for yourself, to choose higher for yourself, to choose your own peace over the noise, to hold space for all of you- your ego whose only job is to protect you, your shadows who only seek your love, your parts whose only job is to help you survive and take another breath.
For remember, the inner child is all that we all are. And inner child only and only loves to play- be it a wooden tractor or a hot wheels, its only job to keep you truly happy all along the way.
So do you commit to play?
And make life a beautiful holiday?
Let the ebb and flow roll on and teach you more about yourself. Let people be teachers who guide you home to yourself. Let triggers become your homework and the journey an artwork.

For New Earth is not a place
For New Earth is not a certain time
For New Earth is a frequency you arrive at.
Welcome!!!
Here collaboration is celebrated over competition
The game is no longer zero sum and there is enough abundance for everyone
For yes people are as beautiful as sunsets if you allow them to be. Yes people are as deep as oceans if you truly get to sit with them. For yes if Earth is indeed our only home, why not it be New Earth where ‘we’ matters more than ‘I’ and interdependence is the new high.
Let it roll !!!
